At Hobson’s Bay Children’s Centre, our team of educators have suitable qualifications and show a genuine interest in caring for and educating children. Educators are committed to providing high quality care and education and show a true commitment to the children and families within the centre. Whilst we encourage educators to make a long-term commitment to their position within the centre, it will be appreciated that changes to the educators in the various rooms are made from time to time.

This will enable the variety of strengths, talents and interests that each educator has to contribute to the centre and children’s learning programs to be utilised across the centre. Importantly, children will benefit from this diversity.

All educators at Hobsons Bay Children’s Centre maintain current certifications in CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma management, which are renewed annually. They also complete a full First Aid course every three years. Each educator holds a valid Working with Children Check and/or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration, and Police Checks are conducted to ensure ongoing suitability. In addition, educators undertake annual mandatory Child Protection training and complete the “All About Allergens” course for Children’s Education and Care (CEC) every two years.

Oversee the day to day implementation of food safety in the workplace – HLTFS9A.
Maria has proudly owned and operated Hobsons Bay Children’s Centre since July 2002.
